About OhSudo

OhSudo is where you read how to fix a problem — and then fix it, right here, in your browser.

OhSudo is made by people who have spent years keeping Linux servers, databases and pipelines alive. It is the resource we wished we had: practical, clear, and without the fluff.

What you’ll find here

  • Articles that start from a real problem and end with commands that work. Every article says which systems and versions it applies to.
  • A Linux terminal in your browser to practice safely — break things, then press Reset.
  • A SQL Playground running real PostgreSQL and SQLite, plus a side-by-side reference for MySQL, MariaDB, SQL Server and Oracle syntax.
  • Generators and calculators — Docker Compose, cron, chmod, subnets — that do the boring part for you.

How we work

  • Checked, not copied. Commands and configurations follow the official documentation of each tool, and every article says which versions it applies to. SQL examples for PostgreSQL and SQLite are run automatically on the real engines.
  • Your data stays with you. Every tool runs entirely in your browser. What you type in a tool is never sent to us.
  • No dark patterns. No pop-ups begging for your email, no tracking cookies, no fake urgency.

In root we trust

The name is a joke every sysadmin gets: the moment something breaks, you reach for sudo and hope. We’d rather you understood what happened.

Found a mistake, or have an idea for an article or a tool? Get in touch — we read everything.
